I'd been using empty 12-pack boxes as storage around the house, and I thought I'd spruce them up a little with some mod podge and clearanced paper I bought a while ago. I'd never done this before, but it seemed pretty easy...
...and it was! Slap on some stinky glue-like substance, and thar ya' go!
This box holds my small gardening supplies...
These hold our water bottles and lunch supplies. I only covered one side of these boxes since they're in a cabinet...
And not to leave the LO out of the box fun... A TV box that's been in our garage for more weeks than I want to say was put to good use. I even added a "mailbox" on the side. See the blurry yellow thing? The LO is putting his "mail" in through the slot (which was a handle on the box).
Yay for rainy days! They brighten things up both outside and in.

I always bring my t-shirt boxes from when I order them in bulk home with me! Those kids will play with a box for hours.
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother's boyfriend's daughter-in-law (follow that one), Annie Portis, wrote a book Not A Box. It's awesome. SHe also has Not a Stick out as well.
Cute! How funny! We have two boxes that the kids really enjoy playing in, as well. They are in the basement and I kind of cant wait to get rid of them since they take up so much visual space.
ReplyDeleteRibbit~I looked the "Not A Box" book up on Amazon, and I might just need to get it. It sounds wonderful! My LO will have me read a book a bunch, but when he's done with one he refuses to let me read it anymore, so it's about time for some new books!
ReplyDeleteMichelle~Boxes are the best, aren't they? We had one that the LO colored all over, and I finally had to throw it out... It was about time for a new one. I say, get rid of the boxes for a while, then bring in some fresh ones--they'll get excited all over again! XOXO MISS YOU SIS!
