I am a tomato liker.
There, I've admitted it. I tasted a straight up piece of tomato, and I liked it! I have officially entered the realm of Tomato Eaters.
I was wondering what to do with my first tomato, a Viva Italia, that was all alone. So, last night I decided to make a little snack using the rosemary focaccia bread from our CSA share, and the last smidgen of arugula...
Nom!
May the tomato eating adventures begin!
I like tomatoes...

HA! I was the same way with peppers. Last year I decided I liked yellow peppers, but I'm drawing the line there.
ReplyDeleteTry it sprinkled with a little sea or kosher salt... you will love it!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! See, that wasn't so bad, now was it? That snack looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteCareful, it's a slippery slope. Now you know how good they are from your garden, you'll be planting them everywhere! Don't forget the basil!
ReplyDeleteRibbit~ Yeah, I'm a red pepper kinda gal myself... Green peppers are pungent, and not sweet enough for me.
ReplyDeleteErin~ Great idea! I've used kosher salt for a while but just started using sea salt, and love it.
EG~Nope, not bad at all..
Clare~Duh! How could I have forgotten the basil?
Welcome to the club!! I didn't like them until my early 20s, when I first had "real" tomatoes -- all the way in Greece. I felt silly for having to go so far, but they were fantastic. May you have many, many more to share.
